HOW TO ADD AN ACCENT COLOUR INTO YOUR GOLF WARDROBE
We challenged Carolyn from our Marketing team to find 5 ways to style an accent colour, inspired by the Pink Lemonade collection from FootJoy...
In our first Fashion Insight of the year we took inspiration from the FootJoy Pink Lemonade collection to show some of the many ways you can incorporate accent colours such as pink into your wardrobe. Love it or not (and we know it can be a hot topic at times!) it's a colour that naturally complements all skin tones and can add a modern glow to your wardrobe.
So if you're a fan of the colour here's some new inspo for your golf wear, and and if it's not normally the colour for you, pop any preconceptions aside and take a fresh look... Perhaps it will help you find ways to style your own favourite colour!

COMBINING BRIGHTS WITH NEUTRALS
1. A Pop of Pink
I have to admit I don't have that much pink in my wardrobe so integrating pink was something I had to mull over in some detail before I started!
Perhaps for this reason I started with a pop of pink and my first outfit choice was the chic white polo with Pink Lemonade animal print trim. I teamed it with my black Daily Sports 7/8ths and was exceptionally happy with the results! A pop of colour lifted a classic monochrome look without overpowering it. The fabric quality is wonderful across the FootJoy collection and this pays dividends particularly with light colours for avoiding show through. A big tick from me for my first outfit!
2. Combining Brights with Lighter Neutrals
Next up was a soft neutral and pink combo. Neutrals are a top trend this season and for warmer brighter days you might not want to opt for black as a combo, so this soft sandy shade is perfect. I know I'd wear these shorts with multiple outfits.
Be brave with your colour combos; this kind of neutral goes well with pinks, corals and even yellow for warmer tones, and aquas and blues for a cool finish.
The pink floral polo really lifted the shorts and I love the print - a modern take on the botanical theme. The fabric was silky soft but held it's shape and comes labelled with UPF protection - the perfect summer piece! It's also available in a fab bright blue.
So with combos 1 and 2 deemed a glowing success I'm moving on to more options... Watch this space for two more ideas to inspire. And if you're after some neutral inspo for mixing with brights do check out our Power of Neutral edit.
